An hour ago, a tree uprooted and fell off on the road near Marudhamalai temple, causing injury to 3 devotees from Karaikal. The huge branches of the tree fell on a shop and a tourist van causing severe damages.
The tourist and city buses got stuck in the traffic, which lasted for an hour. The Corporation authorities cleared the tree and resumed the traffic back to normalcy.
