The Young 29-year-old gentleman, from Bangladesh, was referred to KMCH by Dhaka Military hospital's Neurology Department for the treatment of ruptured cerebral aneurysm [Balloon in the vessel].
He presented with complaints of frequent headaches along with nausea and episodes of unconsciousness. The Dhaka Military hospital diagnosed him with a ruptured aneurysm in the brain and treated him accordingly but the bleeding from the balloon in the brain vessel reoccurred.
The Dhaka Military Hospital referred him to Kovai Medical Center Hospital, Coimbatore (KMCH) for further advanced treatment. Dr. Suresh Jayabalan and team carried out a highly specialized microsurgery on his brain to occlude the balloon using the advanced microscope. The Micro neurosurgical clipping of an aneurysm was successfully accomplished and within a weeks time, the patient was discharged.
