Tenant commits suicide, alleges rental pressure

An unforeseen death incident was reported today at the Government Hospital.

Loganathan along with his wife and two children were residing at a rented house at Thiyagi Kumaran Street, Marakkadai. In recent times, he has been struggling to pay the monthly rentals on time to his land lord Padmavathi. The squabbles between them ended up in a slanging match putting Loganathan in deep distress and embarrassment.  

On last Wednesday, Padmavathi had disconnected the water, current supply to Loganthan's house, due to pending rentals. 

Loganathan, who was highly dejected committed suicide by consuming poison, his family members recovered him and admitted him at the Government hospital for further treatment. 

Unfortunately, today he passed away. The agitated relatives and family members of the deceased refused to collect his body and staged a protest at the Government hospital. His relatives urged that the landlord lady's undue pressure, abusing words and actions have claimed the life of Loganathan, they outraged.  

The Police calmed the relatives and assured them of action against the landlord. The incident created ruckus at the hospital premise.
