Tricksters impersonate as Cops and swindle gold chain from woman


Sathya Kani (57) wife of Chithirai Balan, are residents of Balaji Nagar,  KK Pudur. 

Yesterday, Sathya Kani was at the Vadakovai bus stand waiting to board the bus enroute to Vadavalli. 

Two strangers impersonating as Cops aporoached  her and enquired about her whereabouts and warned her to be cautious about chain snatchers around the area. 

They further insisted to remove her Chain and secure it in her bag. Totally,  unaware of their deceiving stunts, she followed all of their instructions blindly. The miscreants helped her in packing her chain and cleared off the scene. 

Later, when Sathya Kani opened the wrapped  cover, she was thunderstruck to see the pack full of gravels. She then understood the drama orchestrated by the tricksters impersonating as Cops and swindled her five soverign gold chain.

She reported the incident at the B2 Police Station, who are currently investigating the case.
