Preliminary Independence day celebration meet at Collectorate

A preliminary meeting was convened at the Collectorate to discuss on the preparation and arrangements for the celebration of India's 70th Independence day.

The district Collector requested all the officials to extend their full support to mark the success of the Independence day event. He advised the officials to start tabulating the arrangement schedules. 

Cultural events by school children, police parade, award ceremonies etc., should be well-planned and officers should stringently follow the security protocols, he insisted.



Revenue department officials were designated with the task of enlisting the names of the freedom fighter from Coimbatore to be honored at the event. 

Corporation officials were advised to delegate additional manpower resources to clean the venue and to establish temporary toilets for the public.

Revenue Officer T. Christraj, Assistant Collector Vijaylakshmi, Assistant Commissioner, District Revenue Officer (Stamp Paper), District Adi Dravidar Welfare Officer and Regional Officer of Fire & Rescue department were present in the meeting.
