Ex-Police Officer strongly alleges against Isha School

The Isha Yoga Centre has been in the news for the wrong reasons after the complaints from Prof. Kamaraj and Senthil an ex-employee of Isha Foundation vouching for the accusations by registering a formal complaint with the Vadavalli police station.

A few hours ago, one more sensational revelation has come up regarding the purported atrocities by the Centre.

Mr.Mahendran, Special Branch Crime Investigation department (SBCID) officer has come forward with some allegations against the Centre. He had volunteered for a press meet at the District Collectorate.

Here are his allegations and statement to the press:

In 2015, he had admitted his kids Hemanth Gangesh and Samyukth in Isha yoga school at Vellingiri, Coimbatore. He had paid a whopping fee amount of 12 lakh 40 thousand rupees as fees towards their schooling. He alleged that in the name of Gurukul system of education both the kids were brutally harassed and tortured at the school.

The students were forced to clean cow dung, were poured water in their faces for failing to wake up for the morning alarm and were asked to fetch many buckets of water as part of their schooling.

When the kids tried to send their grievances to the parents through letters, the school officials screened the letters and withheld them at the school.

The parents were totally unaware of these brutal tortures to their kids and came to know about it much later when the Isha Yoga authorities informed Mahendran about the nervous ailments suffered by his son. But his son was very healthy and normal while he joined the school.

He was very unhappy with the school and took his kids off the school.

Mahendran stated that he doesn't want to file any complaint but would want to publicise the incidents he encountered with Isha's school.

The statement by a retired police official has strengthened the ongoing criticisms against Isha foundation. It's now up to the authorities to kick start the investigations
