Mr. Khandu said the government has plans to make the twin towns of Itanagar and Naharlagun a free wi-fi zone and it would be a step towards digitisation of the country, which is a vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The state government would also in the future try to connect the villages with internet facility to associate them in government policies and programmes as a part of Digital India programme, he said.

The internet facility at Dera Natung Government College will allow access to information and improve data communication to help in faster transfer of information between college officials and students.
