Railway amenities Committee inspects Coimbatore station

H. Raja, BJP National Secretary and Chief of Railway Passengers Amenities Committee, today conducted an inspection at the Coimbatore Railway Station.

He interacted with the passengers to know about their opinions and suggestions on the existing services provided by the Railways department.

At the press meet, he apprised the media on the recent midnight robbery in the Salem - Virudhunagar express and assured that the case would be cracked soon. And if required, the government would probe a CBI intervention, he stated.

He revealed that, the plan of installing 2 lifts and 2 escalators at the Coimbatore Station would be completed by March 2017 and the ongoing railway works between Pollachi - Podanur will be completed in three months.

He alleged that the inefficient governance by the Congress government has put the railway department in a very pathetic state and that their government has been striving hard to revamp the railways department to high standards.
