Today, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) Coimbatore IRD Irugur, a pioneer in marketing and refining of petroleum products, jointly with Jems Welfare Service trust, as part of their CSR activity had organised a free medical and a dengue awareness camp at Kamarajapuram, Coimbatore.

City Mayor Rajkumar was the guest of honour for the event, Dr. Santosh Kumar, Chief Health Officer, MLA Amman Arjun and Ward Councillors were present at the event.

Nearly 50 Volunteers from Jems Welfare Service Trust co-ordinated the event. Around 80 Children were trained on dental and personal hygiene. Two children development organisations were provided with a kit of soap, sanitizer, tooth brush, pastes and snacks. All the public who took part in the camp were also provided with sanitation kits.
The Mayor interacted with the people and educated them on the importance of cleanliness and standardized sanitation protocols to be followed on a regular basis.
Santosh Kumar, Senior Installation Manager HPCL Coimbatore IRD Irugur felicitated the chief guest and delivered a keynote on the importance of CSR activity of the company.
The medical crew examined the visitors and educated them on dengue symptoms and sanitations standards to be followed on daily basis.

Residents of Kamarajapuram and nearby areas actively participated in the medical camp.
