The eviction of DMK MLA's by Speaker of the House S.Dhanapal at the TN assembly today, has outraged the members of the DMK party across the State.
It all started after the sarcastic remark made by the AIADMK MLA on 'Namakku Naame' campaign. The remarks infuriated the MLA's of the DMK party who went on a scuffle with the opposition party for their unwarranted remarks on their party leader.

The speaker of the house calmed down the members of both the parties, reminding them of the assembly's discipline. The untoward noise made by the DMK MLA after repeated warnings, forced the speaker Dhanapal to suspend all the members of the DMK party for one week from the house.
As a chain reaction, the DMK members have been engaging in protests in various parts of the state condemning the speaker of the house for suspension.

In Coimbatore, DMK party members staged a road roko at Theppakulam Maidhanam area, near Poo market. The enraged protestors burnt the effigies of Speaker S. Dhanapal and demonstrated their fury. For nearly an hour, the traffic was blocked, hence the Police arrested 100 protestors and cleared off the traffic.
