Vellalore bridge issue: Residents file petition at Collectorate

Due to the on-going over bridge work at the Chettipalayam-Podanur area, a temporary base bridge was facilitated by the authorities to enable ease of transport for the residents of Vellalore, Kanjikonampalayam, Konavaikampalayam and Chettipalayam. Recently, a case was filed at the High court to demolish the bridge as it was built over the Noyyal river. As per the orders issued by the High Court the authorities commenced the demolition the bridge on Saturday. The residents stood against the act of the authorities and urged them to devise alternate routes.

Residents of Vellalore and adjoining areas have submitted a petition to the District Collector N.Hariharan to stop the demolition of the temporary bridge at Vellalore.
