Murugesan (55) from Udumalpet, was under judicial custody at the Coimbatore Central Prison. He was suspected to be linked in a kidnap case and hence was detained for interrogation.
Yesterday night, he had suffered from chest pain at the prison. The Prison Officials rushed Murugesan to CMCH for treatment. Today, morning he passed away not responding to the treatment. A case has been registered at the Race Course Police Station.
