Govt Arts College Students demand basic amenities


Around 60 Students of Government Arts College today staged a protest seeking to fulfil the basic amenities at the college.

They claimed that the basic amenities like toilets, classrooms are maintained at a very low standard and the students have been asked to clean the classrooms by themselves. The free napkins provided by the TN govt are also charged at a rate of Rs.8/- and the free bus pass allotted to the students also is charged. they stated.

The staffs use derogatory language against the students, if any concerns are raised on the infrastructure, they reported. Hence the students had requested the authorities to initiate steps to improvise their basic requirements, on priority.
