Lalit Kalashetra Raviraj College of Fine Arts had organized the 2nd BFA Thesis Exhibition at Arthouz, Jenneys Club. The 5-day exhibition cum sale was inaugurated by Shri. Arunachalam Muruganantham on 22nd August.
The exhibition displays art works created by 10 artists, Kirthana.N, Lakshmi Prabha, Motilal R, Moshe Manavalan, Poongothai B, Sumathirani B, Sujatha K, Manishkumar Gupta, Sulochona Devi B, Usha devi N. All the artists, belonging to various genres of profession, have joined together to showcase their passion towards art.

This thesis exhibition is a platform for the artists to highlight their identity and their creations.

The striking colors and patterns, has a story to tell. The painting depicting female infanticide, traditional & cultural values of our State garnered the attention of the art lovers. The painting of a big banyan tree with its roots spread across widely, denoting the value of family in a person's life was widely appreciated by the audience.

Mrs.Usha Elangovan shared with SimpliCity, that "Art should be promoted on a bigger level. Art is like a meditation which gives a solace of peace in this materialistic world. She explained that in art each color represents something, for instance blue denotes peace. She emphasised that kids should be encouraged to practice art, learning forms of art at a very young age will help them develop skills for improve their co-ordination to a great extent.
Mrs.Sulochana, a teacher by profession suggested that she intends to give value education to kids through her knowledge of arts. She also shared that each artist has a different perspective of things, which only they can feel and visualise.
Nearly 35 paintings have been displayed in various genres and 7 paintings have already been sol, the Organisers said.

Tomorrow is the last date of the exhibition. They are open from 11.00 am to 7.00 pm.
