Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science today had organized a special session on 'Guidance for competitive exams'.
Mr. Kanagaraj, Associate Professor, Department of Political Science, Govt Arts College was the Keynote Speaker for the session. He is also well-known for his IAS Coaching classes and holds a PhD in Political science from the prestigious Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi. He has shaped the careers of 14 civil servants.

“I attended interviews for civil services in the year 1998 and 1999. But I wasn’t successful. However, I used my experience to edify IAS aspirants, said Kanagaraj.
He enlightened the students on various aspects of the competitive exams. He asserted that Civil Services exam is one exam, which provides nearly 24 varied dignified job opportunities. He shared his training experience and his students, who are currently pursuing their careers at different parts of the nation.

He apprised that writing and speaking skills are the indispensable part of Civil service exams. He motivated the students to take up civil service exams, with determination and confidence, which is the key for success. 'Failure is just a lesson and we have to practice to learn from the lesson and correct our mistakes' he said.
