Nation's leading trade unions, including the All India Trade Unions Congress (AITUC) and Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) have called for a national bandh tomorrow, on 2nd September, 2016. The demands proposed by the trade unions on various aspects have been rejected by the Government and hence the trade unions have jointly decided to go on a massive strike.
Transport, telecom, banking, commercials shops and other public utility services might get hampered. However, AIADMK's trade union has boycotted the strike and at the national level BJP's BMS trade union has turned against the strike.
