September 5th of every year is celebrated as the teachers day, a special day for the appreciation and honouring the teachers for their service and dedication towards grooming the upcoming generation.  The country today celebrates teachers day to mark the birth anniversary of Dr.Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.



Educational institutions in the City are busy celebrating this day by showcasing cultural events, dramas and interactive session with the teachers to make them feel special. 

Students of Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and.Science celebrated teachers day at their college to express their gratitude and affection towards their teachers. 



The celebration was presided over by Dr.K.Chitra, Principal.of Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science and HOD's of various departments. The celebration featured cultural events like songs, dance and drama arranged by students. Games and competition were also conducted for the teachers.
