The National eye donation day is observed every year from August 25th. In the notion of creating eye donation awareness, Vasan eye care today organised a rally. District Collector T.N. Hariharan, flagged of the rally in the presence of Mr. Aroma R Ponnusamy of Aroma group of Companies and Mr. Lion. Vijaya Kumar, District Governor, Lions Club.
The Rally started from Vasan Eye Care hospital and marched through D.B. Road, Gandhi Park, Thadagam Road and reached Vasan Eye care again.
More than 5000 students from Kalaimagal College, Ranaganathan College, Avinashilingam University, CBM College, Kongunadu College, SNS College, Sri Ramalinga Sowdambikai College, Jayendra Saraswathi College, Nehru Maha Vidyalaya College participated in the rally. Momentos were distributed for all the students for their active participation.
Chief doctor of Vasan Eye Care, Coimbatore Zone, Dr. Samuel John, Doctor Sudha, Doctor Usha Raghunathan and managers, staff of the Vasan participated in the event.
