CFI demands complete holiday on the eve of Bakrid


Campus Front of India (CFI), a student-based social organisation today petitioned to the District Collector  seeking action against those Institutions / organisations, who work on the day of Bakrid. 

The members of the CFI, alleged that inspite of the Tamil Nadu government declaring Bakrid as a state holiday, Dr. MGR Medical University has planned to conduct practical examination for their 2nd Pharma students, tomorrow, i.e., on the day of Bakrid. Students of Muslim community are put under tremendous distress due to unfair act of the University and is totally against the interests of the people belonging to Muslim Community, they said. 

Hence, they urged that the Government should ensure that all organisations and institutions abide by the orders issued and strict action should be initiated against those who work on the eve of Bakrid.
