'Naam tamilar' party demands dismissal of Karnataka government

The activists of Naam Tamilar party today gathered in front of the Kannanda Samajam office in Sivananda Colony and condemned the violence staged against the Tamil community people in Mysore and Bangalore. The local fringe elements who set ablaze more than 50 vehicles and vandalised the shops of Tamil people should be taken to task, they urged.

Arul Rangarajan, a protester from Naam Tamilar stated to the press that “the state and central governments have done nothing to stop the violence against the Tamils in Karnataka. The National Parties are underplaying in Karnataka and Tamilnadu. Hence, the central government should dismiss the current Karnataka state government for their incapacity to control the violence and protect the people in their state'.

The protesters affirmed that Naam Tamilar party will organise state-wide protests, on continual of such injustice against tamils. They raised slogans against the Karnataka government. Close to 40 Police personnel were deployed to avoid any unforseen incident. The police arrested the protesters and cleared the situation.
