Tamil Desa Puratchi Iyakkam protests condemning attacks on Tamil people in Karnataka

The activists of Tamil Desa Puratchi Iyakkam today staged their protest at Karnataka bank, Oppanakara street branch, condemning the attacks on Tamil people in Karnataka owing to the Cauvery river water dispute.





Narendra Kumar, one of the protestor said that, 'this protest is not for us it is for the people'. Traffic came to a standstill in the busy Oppanakara street for a brief time, due to the protest. The police arrested the protestors and eased off the traffic.
