Hindu Makkal Katchi sends 'Salt' to actor Rajinikanth

While, the entire State of Tamil Nadu is bombarded with protests and rallies against the Cauvery issue. The activists of Hindu Makkal Katchi showcased their agitation using a different strategy. The protestors marched towards the post office at the Coimbatore Railway station to send 'salt' to Actor Rajinikanth, who has been 'mum' over the on-going Cauvery issue.

Govindaraj. District Vice President of Hindu Makkal Katchi, claimed that 'the actor has not issued any statements condemning the violence staged against the Tamils by the fringe elements in Karnataka. He evoked on the luring lyrics in his movie claiming 'Uppita tamil mannai marakka maaten', meaning 'will never forget the tamil people for their magnanimity'. Hence, he said they have come with salt to send it the actor to remind him of his 'unjustified silence' and 'sensibility' in the Cauvery issue. Similarly, we will be sending 'salt' to Siddaramaiah,CM of Karnataka, too', he said.
