Senaapathy Kangayam Cattle Research Foundation and Kangayam Cattle Breeders Society jointly organised the 'Kangayam Cattle Show 2016' at AET Matriculation school grounds, Perundurai.

Thiru. Sivakumar, Superintendent of Police, Erode was the guest of honour and Thiru. Kasiannan, President, Lower Bhavani Canal Ryots Association, presided over the function.
Thiru. Karthikeya Siva Senaapathy, Founder of Senaapathy Kangayam Cattle Research Foundation, Member of the Management Committee of Kangayam Cattle Breeders Society, welcomed the guests and delivered the welcome address.

Thiru. Hiphop Tamizha was honoured at the event for extending his support on the need to protect our native Kangayam breed cattle.

His recent album on 'Jallikattu' featuring the song 'Takkaru Takkaru', inspired millions of people, especially youngsters on the actuals of 'Jallikattu' and how it has been fabricated intentionally by the corporates and PETA.

The event aimed at educating, promoting and the need for preserving our native breeds. The event vouched for the deep-rooted love and bond between the cattle and it's owners. Though ferocious in its look, the bulls and it's breeders share an unsaid language to communicate with each other, which was soul-stirring to see.
It just doesn't end by protecting the bulls or banning 'Jallikattu' by the so-called animal welfare & protection organisations. Such events vouch for the knowledge, love and bond shared between the cattle and it's breeders.

Enticing and informative competitions for the native Kangeyam breeds were conducted during the event.

The best of bulls and cows of the native breed were awarded under various aspects like tooth, horns, agility etc.

The bulls that were used for carriage purposes were also honoured at the event.

A large number of public and Kangeyam bull lovers enthusiastically participated in the event.
