The Coimbatore District YRC, Government Arts College YRC and PG Department of Social Work of Sri Krishna Arts College, today jointly organized an Elocution competition, at the Government Arts College. Students from all colleges were invited to participate and showcase their talents in the elocution competition under the topic ' Youth Employment in India' either in English or Tamil.

Nearly 40 students from various college like SNS College of technology, Asian College of Engineering and technology, Sri Krishna College of Arts and Science, PSG College of Pharmacy, VLB College of Arts and Science , Government Arts and Science college, took part in the competition with zest and put forth their strong on the topic. The drawbacks and amendments to be made in the current education system, the negligence of agriculture, the rise of unrecognized educational institutions in the country and how these impedes the youngsters in obtaining employment were discussed by the students.

The Judges for Tamil Elocution Competition were Mrs.Balasaraswathi and Mrs.Nagarathinam from Tamil Department of Government Arts College and Mrs.Kala and Mr.C.B.Sivaparthipan of SNS College of Technology judged the judges English elocution competition. The winners were honored with certificates and books for their comprehensive speech.

Prof.Chandrakrishna, YRC Coordinator of Govt Arts college shared that 'Every year the turnout of the students is pretty well and this year close to 40 students have participated in the competition. The participant who's awarded 'first' will be sent to the State level competition to be held at Chennai'.
