21-year-old woman stabbed by stalker, succumbs to injuries

Delhi: A 21-year-old woman succumbed to injuries after she was stabbed at least 20 times by a stalker in Burari area of Delhi. The woman was admitted to Sushruta Trauma Centre, Civil Lines area of New Delhi.

Her brother, who could not be immediately identified, told ANI that the main accused was harassing her for a long time. “He was harassing my sister for a long time, he stays in Rohini. We had registered a complaint after which he had calmed down until now. Aditya Malik is his name, 6 months back we had registered the complaint and matter were settled,” he said.

It was not immediately known if the accused has been arrested by the Delhi Police. More details are awaited.

The attack comes days after a 32-year-old woman was stabbed to death in southwest Delhi, again by a man who was stalking her. The accused then stabbed himself and succumbed to injuries, police officials said. The incident was reported in southwest Delhi’s Inderpuri Sunday. The accused died in hospital Monday morning.
