Police tightens security to arrest violence and unrest in the city


More than 200 people have been detained by the City police with regard to Sasikumar's murder. The past offenders and trouble makers of the religious parties have been arrested as a cautionary measure to prevent violence of any form, in the city. Additional police force have been deployed at all 'sensitive spots' to settle the unrest situation and to ensure safety of the people.

Special teams have been formed under the guidance of Deputy Inspector General of Police, Nagarajan, Salem. The Superintendent of Police of three districts, SP Ramya Bharathi, Coimbatore, SP Uma, Tiruppur and SP Sivakumar, Erode have been deputed to investigate the case.
