Sangeetha along with her 4-year old daughter, Thena has been living with her mother at Vellalampalayam, near Annur. Ponraj, her husband died four years ago. Yesterday evening, the child went missing, the relatives and neighbours searched the nearby areas and were shocked to find the child in an underground water tank.
The people retrieved the child and immediately rushed to a close by private hospital. The doctors declared the child dead, on arrival. The Sulur Police have registered a case and sent the child's body to post-mortem.
