More than 20 representatives from the Auto rickshaw Union, today petitioned the District Collector T.N. Hariharan demanding compensation for the damaged autos during yesterday's riots.
They petitioners demanded that the Tamilnadu Government should grant them necessary compensation for the damages incurred or the party who involved in the riots should take up the responsibility. The damage to their autos has affected their livelihood, hence they urged the Collector to facilitate due compensation, on priority.
