Political parties take a pledge for communal harmony


In connection with the atrocities staged in the city by the agitators following the murder of Sasikumar, Spokesperson, Hindu Munani.

Today, the political parties jointly protested at the South Taluk Office, Red Cross Society insisting communal harmony. Communist party of India, Communist party of India (Marxist), TPDK and other political parties were part of this protest. They jointly raised slogans condemning the police department for failing to control the violators.



They urged stern action against the perpetuators for causing grave destruction to public assets, buses, autos, two-wheelers, four-wheelers, police jeeps, shops and signage boards.

Finally, they all took up the pledge to restore communal harmony and secularism.



Yesterday, they petitioned to the District Collector, T.N. Hariharan to control the 'unrest' situation and to ensure the safety of the people in the city.
