House owner killed for demanding rent

Ramamoorthy and Manjula, a couple from PN Pudhur had rented the first floor of their house to Palaniammal, who lives there along with her daughter.

According to the sources it is learnt that Palaniammal have not paid rent for the past four months. The house owners have been persistently reminding them on their pending rents. Yesterday, Palaniammal and Manjula ended up in a scuffle, over the pending rent issue. Ramamurthy went upstairs to join the argument, shockingly Palaniammal pushed him off from the first floor. Ramamoorthy sustained severe injuries and died on the spot. 

The R.S. Puram police have registered a case in this regard and are investigating the case. Ramamurthy's body was sent to Coimbatore Government hospital for postmortem.
