Celebrations and Prayers begin for the upcoming car festival at the Shrine in Karummathampatti


Thousands of people gathered at the special mass conducted at the Saint Jebamalai Matha Church at Karumathampatti to welcome the upcoming Car festival to be held on October 1st and 2nd. On the day, the Mother Mary statue will be taken as a procession through the streets in a decorated car, which will be witnessed by thousands of devotees, who walk along with the deity singing prayers and songs. 



The festival started with the flag hoist on 23rd September, since then the church wears a festive look, with colorful serial lights flashing all over the place and with devotees overwhelming in joy and adoring Mary Mother through special masses and prayer sessions.
