Inspite of strong disapprovals from a part of AIADMK cadres, Leelavathi Unni present Deputy Major, has filed her nomination to contest in ward:No:73 in the local body elections.
The AIADMK members are presently on a hunger-strike at the AIADMK 'Idhaya Dheivam' office demanding reevaluation of ticket allotment, deeming it as 'unfair'. Leelavathi is also one of the candidate, whom the dispirited AIADMK cadres pin-pointed to call off from the list. 'She hails from Ward:No:23 and inspite of knowing she would lose at Ward:No: 73, the party has given her this opportunity', alleged a part of AIADMK members.
Today, State-wide AIADMK party members, have filed their nominations at 12:30 pm at their respective centres.
