As a part one of its initiatives the Kovai Green League (KGL) organised ‘Wealth out of Waste’ programme recently. This event was hosted at Chinmaya Vidyalaya in R S Puram. About 250 students participated in this event. Art and craft expert Sangeetha hosted three sessions in this school.
Prior to this programme, students of this school collected several raw materials. Art and craft professional, Sangeetha demonstrated to the students how the waste (raw) materials can be converted into something useful.
At this session a documentary was also screened.
This programme was organised by Brookefields, in association with Rotary Club of Coimbatore, MC# and Robert Bosch. Gurupreet Singh, President of Rotary Club Coimbatore, Sujatha, Manager at Brookefields and Ramkumar, Secretary of Rotary Club were interacting with the kids on the waste management program. .
