A panel discussion on social entrepreneurs was organized today evening at Kumaraguru College of Technology (KCT). The session was flagged off by Shankar Vanavarayar, Joint Correspondent of KCT. The discussion session brought under one roof social entrepreneurs, social activists and young achievers of Coimbatore.

Students who were the audience, were introduced to various concepts of social entrepreneurship and social service activities.

Sugin, HR, Infosys, Anil Srinivasan, Classical Pianist, Abdul Ghani, Social Activist were a part of the panel. C. Kishore, Founder of MC3 trust, Vaishnavi of Food Bank, Padmanabhan Gopalan, Founder, No Food Waste and Saravanan of NGO Wild Wing Trust were the special guests for the evening.

While interacting with the students Sugin who is also founder of Matram Trust apprised the students on the activities of this trust. “Ahead of Christmas season, Matram Trust sends a Santa clause to the schools for under privileged children to relish the kids” Sugin said.

This was followed by a talk from the Classical Pianist, Anil Srinivasan, who explained to the students how he makes use of music in his work.

All the speakers brought to light how they have made a difference in several people’s lives through the NGOs that they are associated with and motivated the students to participate in social activities, as well. Undoubtedly it was an eye-opener session for the students.
