Murugan (40) from Thomas Street owns and runs a gold jewellery manufacturing centre in the city. Recently Murugan got a work contract for which he handed over 2.5 kg of gold, worth 65 lakhs to Putrumal, an employee working at his workshop.
It has been reported that Putrumal has gone missing with the gold. Following this Murugan has filed a complaint at the Townhall police station. The Police have registered a case and a search is on for the missing person and the gold.
