Every year Isha Foundation supports tribal and deserving students from rural pockets with financial assistance to pursue their education. Under this initiative, Isha Foundation awarded Sadhguru Sri Brahma scholarships to school and college students for higher studies in an event that was organized last evening. Sadanandam, Panchayat President, Ikkarai Boluvampatti was Chief Guest and he presented the scholarships to the students.
“Education plays an important role in shaping both the individual and society. Isha Foundation is doing an outstanding job through its various educational institutions especially in bringing education to rural Tamil Nadu through its eight Isha Vidhya schools and by adopting Government schools and thus inducing a spirit of enthusiasm and joy in the rural children.” Sadanandam said.
Isha Foundation has also set up Isha Outreach, the social development branch of the Isha Foundation. Its central vision is to empower the deprived sections of India towards improved health, education, and environmental wellbeing. The three vehicles of Isha Outreach are Project Green Hands (PGH), Action for Rural Rejuvenation (ARR) and Isha Vidhya, which provide an interconnected and comprehensive approach to transform the lives of the rural poor.
