The fire and rescue department is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that Coimbatore celebrates a safe Diwali this year. Fire and Rescue department officer Chandran when speaking to SimpliCity said that “There are eight Fire and Rescue stations in Coimbatore. From our end, as soon as we receive a call for help, we will act swiftly.” Chandran says.

He also educates us that the district administration has issued about 500 licences (to sell firecrackers) to various traders in our city.
In a bid to ensure that our city experiences a safe Diwali, adequate arrangements have been made. “Our team of professionals is ready 24*7 to respond to any calls of rescue. Vehicles are stationed on standby at Gandhipuram, R.S.Puram, Singanallur, and Townhall. In case an emergency arises, the public is requested to call the respective helpline numbers.” Chandran says.
