An Army recruitment drive is been conducted today at the PRS grounds, Avinashi Road. Hundreds of youngsters were seen sleeping on the platforms of Avinashi Road, yesterday night in a ray of hope to get selected in the Indian Army.
The intent to join the army and serve the nation is very much appreciable but it was disheartening to note the future guards of our nation couching on the roadside platforms. Definitely, the government should be providing them with some decent shelter in any of the corporation wedding halls or schools to avoid such incidents in the future.
