Woman passenger reports on theft of gold and cash in train

Santhya S (56) works in New Zealand as a teacher. She is in India to meet her brother. She was travelling from Chennai to Coimbatore on the Cheran Express from Chennai last morning. Police said that Santhiya was on her way to meet her brother.

On reaching Coimbatore, she was shocked to find the gold and diamond ornaments, cash and foreign currency missing from her bag. About 20 sovereign of gold, Indian currency worth 50,000 and foreign currency 60,000 USD are reported missing. A case has been registered and the police is investigating.
