It was reported that yesterday in the middle of the night around 1 am a gang of thieves, chopped a sandalwood tree in Race Course. However, this gang was unable to escape with the booty. Thanks to the presence of a few passers-by at that time in this area. The thieves left the chopped branches of the sandalwood tree close to the tree itself. The Race Course police have registered a case and a search is on to nab the thieves.
