In a bid to symbolically put forth their demand to the district collector, today, a group of residents from the Pudupalayam area visited the District Collectorate with candles. About seven homes that are located in Pudupalayam area continue to remain sans electricity.
Left with no other option, the residents continue to depend on candles and other sources for light. This morning during the routine grievance day, residents of this area petitioned the district collector demanding that they be provided with electricity connection in their homes, on priority.
The district collector assured the residents that the needful will be done in this regard.
