Chain-snatching incidents continue in the city

Rajammal (55) was on her way back home after visiting her relative's place at Sulur. When she walking near SLB Nagar, Singanallur two unknown people in a two-wheeler pushed her down and snatched her three-sovereign gold chain and fled away from the scene. A case has been registered at the Singanallur police station in this regard.

Yet in another case, 13 sovereign gold chain of Anandavalli (35) was snatched by unknown strangers at Sulur. Anandavalli has had a brief scuffle with the snatchers before she let go off her 13 sovereign gold chain. However, she had noted down their vehicle number TN 36D 2333 and has reported the incident to the Sulur police station. 

The modus operandi behind all chain-snatching has been almost the same, targeting woman at remote areas. Based on the details provided by the victims and the modus operandi, the police have increased patrolling and have laid a trap for the offenders.
