Fire service department receives second bogus call of fire accident from courier firm in Gandhipuram

This morning as soon as the Fire Service department received a call of a fire accident they rushed to the location with men and material only to find that the call is bogus. It is believed that this call was made on behalf of a few employees of a courier firm that is located in Gandhipuram. This bogus call for help is the second of its kind that was made by the employees of this courier firm. The first (bogus) call we are told was made on Sunday, October 23 we are told.



It has also been reported that traffic was thrown out of gear this morning in Gandhipuram area. This is one of the shopping hot spots in our city. As the fake news of this fire accident broke, shoppers in this location panicked. However, the situation was brought under control.
