Yesterday the city experienced a heavy downpour. This sudden downpour threw traffic out of gear in several parts of the city. The Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation (CCMC) issued a number where complains about water logging can be reported. The CCMC said, so far they have received over one hundred such complaints. As soon as a water logging issue was sent to this number, a team were deployed to the location to rectify the issue.
National Informatics Centre Chennai shared Rain gauge station wise rainfall report. According to this report, the total rainfall that the district received yesterday is 413.90mm with an average of 34.49mm.
