Upon receiving complaints of a fleecing contractors at corporation parking lot in Raja street, the corporation offcials as instructed by Special Officer Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation (CCMC), Dr. Vijaya Karthikeyan today paid a surprise visit to the spot and caught the contractor red-handed.
The officials submitted a detailed report on the vigil to the CCMC Commissioner, who in turn passed stern orders to immediately terminate the contract. 'A new tender for the same would be shortly called for. Until, such time the parking lot would be under the control of the CCMC', Special Officer Vijaya Karthikeyan said.
