Police books three people under Goondas act for involving in riots in the city

It is reported that three people Mahendran, Shakthi Kumar and Mohan Raj from NGGO colony were arrested and detained under the Goondas Act for their involvement in the recent violence in our city.

Following the death of Hindu Munani functionary Sasi Kumar, violence erupted in several parts of our city. During the procession of his last rites too, several incidents of violence were reported. The city police have arrested more than 800 people whom they suspect are involved in the violence. While some of them have been released on conditional bail, a few of the have been remain to be under judicial custody.
