Dance, drama and music completes the Vigilance awareness week observed by Railways


In commemoration with the Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhai Patel, former Deputy Prime Minister India, every year the Vigilance Awareness Week is celebrated throughout from Oct 31st to November 5th. Government and Public Sector organisations participate in the Vigilance Awareness Week to create awareness and need for Vigilance among the employees and the public.  This year the theme is “Public participation in Promoting Integrity and eradicating corruption”.



District Collectorate, City Corporation, Police Department and many other government establishments took pledges to work earnestly and say 'No' to bribery. Today, being the last day the Coimbatore railway division celebrated the day with music, drama and mime shows. 'Ayutham' a music and drama troop enthralled the public through their awareness dramas and songs.



Following the cultural programmes, the railway staff took a pledge to promote integrity and eradicate corruption. The programme was attended by Salem Division Asst. Commercial Manager Shahjahan, 'Aram Foundation' Trustee Sivakumar, officials and staffs of the railways division.
