Two leopards caught on camera in Marudhamalai range

The camera fixed in a trap by the forest officials at Marudhamalai has spotted two leopards and a wild boar, yesterday. The images captured show that the wild cat was feeding on a dead carcass near a pond at the Marudhamalai hills.

The forest officials have confirmed the footages of the big cat. After the residents complained about leopard movement a few months ago, the department officials set traps at likely places to capture the big cat safely.

However, the sighting of the big cats has panicked the devotees who climb the hills through the walking route which is covered by dense bushes and shrubs.
