The Airports Authority of India(AAI), Coimbatore international Airport observed the Vigilance Awareness Week from 31st October to 5th November 2016 with theme as ‘Public participation in promoting integrity and eradicating corruption’.

As part of the celebrations various competitions like essay writing, poster creation, elocutions were hosted for school and college students in multiple educational institutions like Kendriya Vidyalaya, Suguna Pips School, Kumaraguru College of Technology, GRD College of Arts and Science and Nehru College of Aeronautics. Competitions were also hosted for AAI staff and their wards.
Winners of these contests were awarded prizes at the valedictory function that was hosted today at the Coimbatore International Airport. K. Sundarajan, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Coimbatore presided over the function.Airport Director G. Prakash Reddy, V. Pradeep Kumar, JGM(ATM), R. Kulshrestha, DGM(Civil) and heads of various departments addressed the gathering. The programme concluded with vote of thanks by P. T. Sindhu, AGM (Civil).
The paintings of school, colleges students were also displayed in the art gallery at the venue of the function.
