TANGEDCO conducts awareness programme on electricity conservation for students

TANGEDCO has been organising awareness programme on electricity conservation for students across the state. The change needs to be brought from the students who will in turn pass the awareness to co-students, parents and the society, this is the change the TANGEDCO aims through awareness campaign. 



TANGEDCO in association with Rotary Club Galaxy and Dr. SNS College of Arts and Science flagged off the campaign at the college auditorium today. Cultural performances emphasising the need for electricity conservation like mime shows, dance and dramas were part of this event D.Aldurai, Divisional Engineer of TANGEDCO presided over the event. Former President of Rotary Galaxy Coimbatore delivered the special address.



Aldurai, Divisional Engineer speaking to SimpliCity stated that, “We have planned to conduct workshops on electricity conservation workshop targeting school childrens. If 100 students participate in the awareness campaign, those students will pass on the message to another 100 students, their parents, relatives, neighbours and more. So eventually if one person is able to save one unit of electricity a day, the major change would arise. The event was hosted in Hindusthan Arts and Science College and tomorrow it's scheduled at Karpagam College. We are confident that through such awareness campaigns people would understand the importance of electricity conservation' 



Coimbatore District Electricity Circle's Executive Engineer R. Nandagopal, Coimbatore district North Electricity Distribution Circle Superindent Engineer G.N.Sudhakar, Executive Engineer (electrical) K. Vijayagowri, Coimbatore District Primary Education Office, Tamil Nadu Science Center president V. Sivakami, Human Resource trainer Jai Ganesh and other offcials of TANGEDCO participated in the event.
